WARSAW - Mrs. Carter, formerly of Wallace, passed away peacefully on Saturday. Funeral service will be held from St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 304 Kenan Loop Rd., Wallace, at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 25. Interment will follow at Iron Mine Burial Park, 8363 Hwy 41 West, Wallace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and France Williams; sons, Clarence Ray Williams and Clifton Williams, Jr.; daughter, Angelee Williams; sisters, Arletha Wells and Shirley Williams and brother, John Frank Williams, Jr.
A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband, Eddie Lee Carter; children, Reko Williams, Dianna Williams, and Tirrell Williams; grandchildren, Angenique Williams, Melajah Hankins, Zikira Williams, Ashanti Miller, Ashiree Miller, Jaheim Pickett, Clifton Williams, Tamarist Williams, Danasia Pickett, Kamoni Williams, and Moses Frederick; sisters, Mary Alice Cromity and Judy Mae Hall; aunt, Elamae (Horse) Johnson; special friend/cousin, Elane Clibbons.
Visitation at Matthews Funeral Chapel, 6:00 - 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 24.
