WALLACE - Mrs. Taylor, widow of Hurley Taylor, passed gently on Sunday at DaySpring of Wallace. Funeral service will be held from Greater Yeshuwa Temple, 6347 South NC 41,Wallace on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late John R. and Maggie K. Carr. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Price (Curtis) and Glenda Hand; sister, Mrs. Adell Keith; brother, Bishop A. E. Carr (Milicent); three granddaughters, Andrea Furlow, Bridgett Carr, and Johnetta Carr; four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Greatest Carr; three special "granddaughters," Tonia Davis (Luke), Kitza Washington (Greg) and Claudia Kearney (Donell).
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Johnnie L. Carr; two grandsons, Jerome Cofield and Hurley Hand; one granddaughter, Tonia Abney; two brothers, Robert Carr and Daniel Carr; two sisters, Ruby Williams and Norma L. Baker.
Visitation will be held at Matthews Funeral Chapel 6:00-7:00 on Friday evening.
